Let's Go Literacy!

 Building strong readers starts with making books part of everyday life. That’s why we reimagined our former Make Summer Count program as Let’s Go Literacy, a year-round initiative that helps families see reading as something that can happen anywhere: in the car, while waiting for an appointment, or during everyday errands. By putting free, high-quality books directly into children’s hands and creating joyful literacy experiences for families, we’re making reading feel easy, accessible, and part of everyday life.

During the 2025-2026 school year, Let’s Go Literacy focused on seven elementary schools serving some of Greenville County’s highest-need communities. Through partnerships with AJ Whittenberg, Thomas E. Kerns, Duncan Chapel, Westcliffe, Brook Glenn, Alexander, and Grove Elementary Schools, we helped thousands of children start or continue to build home libraries and discover the joy of choosing books they’ll actually want to read.
